SATF Privacy Policy

SATF is made by Tran Minh Khoi (MKTech), an independent developer in Vietnam. Contact: contact@tranminhkhoi.dev.

None. SATF has no user accounts, does not ask for your name, email or any other personal information, and contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code.

We do not receive, see or store anything about you or your files.

SATF only opens the files you drag onto its menu or put on its Shelf, and only to do what you picked (convert, edit, compress, merge, extract…). All processing happens on your computer. Files are never uploaded anywhere.

Your original files are never changed. New files are saved next to the original, or, in the Mac App Store version, in your Downloads folder or a folder you choose in Settings.

The Shelf only keeps a list of files while SATF is running. It is not saved and not shared.

Your preferences (language, shortcut, shake settings, image options, output folder) are stored locally by the operating system, in macOS user defaults or Windows app settings. They never leave your computer and are removed when you uninstall SATF.

Mouse: to recognise the shake gesture, SATF watches the mouse position and button state while you drag. It does not monitor your keyboard and does not need Accessibility permission.

Clipboard: SATF writes to the clipboard only when you choose Copy.

Open at login: only if you turn it on in Settings.

Website version on macOS only: when you convert an Excel or PowerPoint file, SATF can ask Microsoft Office, Numbers or Keynote on your Mac to export it to PDF. macOS asks for your permission the first time. The Mac App Store version does not do this.

Mac App Store version: SATF makes no network connections. Updates are delivered by the App Store.

Versions downloaded from mktechvn.com or GitHub: SATF checks GitHub for a newer version when it starts and once a day (you can turn this off in Settings), and downloads the update from GitHub when you choose to install it. If you choose to install the optional Excel & PowerPoint add-on, it is downloaded from LibreOffice's official servers. These are ordinary requests: GitHub and LibreOffice can see your IP address, as with any download, under their own privacy policies. SATF sends no information about you or your files.

We do not sell, rent or share data with anyone, because we do not have any.

Apple (Mac App Store), GitHub (updates for the website version) and LibreOffice (optional add-on) handle downloads under their own privacy policies.

If you email us or open an issue on GitHub, we use what you send only to reply and to fix the problem. We do not add you to any mailing list. Ask us at any time and we will delete your messages.

SATF is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
